Memorial Service in Honor of Sister Élise Rivet (Mère Marie Élisabeth de l'Eucharistie)

Élise Rivet – Nun and Resistance Fighter during National Socialism

On March 30, 2025, the 80th anniversary of the death of French nun Élise Rivet will be commemorated. As a member of the Résistance, she helped persecuted individuals escape deportation until she herself was arrested, deported to Ravensbrück, and murdered on Good Friday in 1945. In her memory, the St. Lukas Neubrandenburg parish invites you to a memorial service at the Ravensbrück Memorial Museum. A guided tour of the historical camp grounds and the subsequent gathering in the café provide an opportunity for remembrance and exchange. The event will be held in German. more

Opening of the Exhibition “Women’s Resistance in Ravensbrück”

The open-air exhibition on the former Camp Grounds presents 20 biogra- phies on historic sites, highlighting self-assertion, courage, and solidarity in seemingly hopeless situations. After the opening, curators Dr Andrea Genest and Jeanette Toussaint will give a guided tour. more

Commemorative event on International Children's Day

The association ‘Die Flamme der Hoffnung-The Flame Of Hope e.V.’ commemorates the children, their mothers and fathers who died in the Ravensbrück concentration camp on the occasion of International Children's Day. A wreath-laying ceremony will then take place at the new memorial site. more

How do we remember the unspeakable? How do we tell stories that must be passed on? The Theater Youth Club Ensemble Angestrahlt brings a powerful production to the stage with Some Things I Know, but I Don’t Remember. Inspired by the life of Emmie Arbel, who survived Ravensbrück concentration camp as a child, this performance explores how memories remain alive. A thought-provoking engagement with the past and the present. Premiere on June 12, 2025, at Theater Strahl and on July 13 at the Ravensbrück Memorial.
