Free Admission
Admission to the memorial and all exhibitions is free of charge. We look forward to your visit!
If you would like to support our work, we would greatly appreciate a donation. Your contribution helps ensure the long-term continuation of our memorial work and educational programs.
Audioguides
Two 90-minute audioguides* are available at the Visitor Information Center. One tour leads you through the outdoor grounds, while the other accompanies you through the exhibition "The Women's Concentration Camp Ravensbrück – History and Remembrance." The devices can be rented for 3 euros, and a deposit item is required. Audioguides are available in German, English, French, Dutch, and Polish.
Guided Tours and Educational Programs
If you are interested in guided tours or educational programs such as study days, we kindly ask you to book in advance. Due to high demand, we recommend making a reservation early. You can find all the information here.
Film Screening
During opening hours, you can watch the 30-minute film "Remembering Ravensbrück" in German, English, and French at the former Gate and Guardhouse. The film is based on conversations with survivors of the Ravensbrück concentration camp and is shown hourly.
Visiting with Children
The content of the exhibitions and the memorial grounds is not suitable for children under 12 years old. Therefore, we recommend visiting only in the company of a parent or guardian. The memorial’s educational programs are designed for students aged 14 and older.
Clothing
Since a large part of the memorial is outdoors, we recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothing. Depending on the weather, please consider bringing warm clothes, sturdy shoes, and sun or rain protection.
Bicycles
Please note that riding or bringing bicycles onto the grounds is not permitted. Bicycle racks are available at the entrance to the Visitor Center, where you can safely store your bike during your visit.
Pets
Pets are not allowed on the memorial grounds. Exceptions are made for assistance dogs with proper identification.
Luggage Storage
Lockers for medium-sized bags are available at the Visitor Center. Unfortunately, larger luggage cannot be stored.
Food and Drink
Please note that there are no food and drink options available on the memorial grounds. However, groups can pre-arrange meals at the Ravensbrück Youth Hostel. Please contact the youth hostel directly for bookings.
*We would like to thank the shareholders of Freudenberg & Co. for their generous donation, which made the creation of the audioguides possible.
