Memorial service in honor of Sister Élisabeth Rivet

As a member of the French Resistance, the French nun Élisabeth Rivet was imprisoned in the Ravensbrück concentration camp from July 1944. A few weeks before the liberation of the camp, on Good Friday, March 30, 1945, Élisabeth Rivet sacrificed herself for a mother and was killed in her place in the gas chamber. The Catholic parish of St. Hedwig Fürstenberg/Havel commemorates Élisabeth Rivet with a memorial service.
