The Ravensbrück Memorial Museum's collections offer ideal conditions for research and education. They include archival and museum holdings on the women's concentration camp including satellite camps, the men's camp and the “Uckermark juvenile protective custody camp” as well as the estates of former prisoners and documents on the legacy of the Memorial Museum.
The cornerstone of the collections was laid in 1958/59 with the establishment of the first camp museum. Former prisoners donated objects related to their imprisonment in the concentration camp, including drawings, miniatures and letters.
Today, the collections consist of five sections. Here you will find more detailed information on the respective collections:
Archive (documents)
Library (books and journals)
Repository (objects)
Photograph collection (photographs)
Media collection (audiovisual media)
Our collections focus on the history and memory of Ravensbrück Concentration Camp. The holdings are constantly being expanded. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us or register for a visit.
