Opening Times and Travel Information

The Ravensbrück Memorial Museum is located near Fürstenberg/Havel, about 80 km north of Berlin. Here you will find our current opening hours and how to get here by train, on-demand bus or car.

Visitor information centre with bookshop

  • April–September: Tuesday–Sunday: 9:00 – 12:30 & 13:00 – 17:30
  • October–March: Tuesday–Sunday: 9:00 – 12:30 & 13:00 – 16:00

Please note:
The former weaving mill building is only open until 15:00 from October to March.
The former cell building (Zellenbau) is currently closed for renovation. It is scheduled to reopen in 2028.
 

Getting here

By train
The RE 5 regional train (Berlin–Stralsund/Rostock) stops at Fürstenberg/Havel every hour, coming from Berlin as well as from the north. From the station, it is about a 25-minute walk to the Memorial. Or you can continue by the MOHVER on-demand bus.

By on-demand bus
The MOHVER on-demand bus, operated by Oberhavel Verkehrsgesellschaft (OVG), takes you from Fürstenberg station and the surrounding villages directly to the Memorial. The stop is at the car park next to the visitor information centre.

By car
Fürstenberg/Havel can be reached via the B 96 (Berlin–Stralsund). From Fürstenberg, the route to the Memorial is signposted. Parking on site is free of charge.
