Ravensbrück Memorial Museum
Opening of the Arolsen Archives' #StolenMemory Traveling Exhibition
09. July 2026 – 10:00 Uhr – all day
On Thursday, 9 July 2026, the #StolenMemory traveling exhibition of the Arolsen Archives opens at the Ravensbrück Memorial Museum. From 10 am, the doors of the exhibition container on the forecourt of the former SS headquarters will be open for the first time.
At the center of the exhibition are rings, watches, photos, and letters – personal belongings that the SS took from concentration camp prisoners upon their arrival. To this day, the Arolsen Archives preserve such keepsakes belonging to around 2,000 people, known as "effects" (Effekten), and are searching for their families in order to return them. The exhibition tells of successful returns and of people whose relatives are still being sought – among them prisoners of the Ravensbrück women's concentration camp.
The exhibition is on view until 5 August 2026, daily from 10 am to 6 pm. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome.
