Exhibition Preview “Machines roar, needle drags the thread, Sharp knife shines, cuts in two and stabs.””

03. May - 04. May 2025 – all day

In the weaving workshop on the former industrial estate of the Memorial, Dominique Hurth presents a two-part artistic intervention on the hitherto largely uninvestigated textile history of the Ravensbrück women’s concentration camp. A preamble will be on show in two halls of the workshop as from May to mark the 80th anniversary of liberation. The main exhibition is due to open on 24 August at 15:00. In autumn, an extensive programme of events in Ravensbrück and Berlin will accompany the exhibition.

On show: preamble, 2 May-17 August 2025; chapter 1, 24 August-31 October 2025

The exhibition will be in German and English.
