Call for Papers: 28th Workshop on the History and Memory of National Socialist Camps and Killing Sites
June 8–14, 2026 | Ravensbrück, Brandenburg & Berlin, Germany
This international workshop invites emerging scholars and practitioners to explore the analytical potential of "scale" and "trajectories" in studying the Holocaust and Nazi violence.
Held annually since 1994, this interdisciplinary and non-hierarchical forum combines academic discussion, site visits, and collaborative learning. In 2026, the workshop will focus on memorial sites in Brandenburg before returning to Berlin to connect local histories to broader structures of persecution and memory.
Applications are welcome from early-career researchers, educators, and practitioners whose work relates to the history and memory of National Socialist violence.
Deadline: August 1, 2025
