Ravensbrück Memorial Museum
Performance “Sound in the Silence: Raise Your Voice” at the State Parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate
29. August 2025 – 19:00 - 21:30 Uhr
To conclude the project Sound in the Silence: Raise Your Voice, a public performance will take place on 29 August 2025 at the State Parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate in Mainz. Students from the Rudi-Stephan-Gymnasium in Worms will present the artistic results of an intensive project week, during which they engaged deeply with the history of the Osthofen concentration camp, the Ravensbrück women’s concentration camp, and the biography of Holocaust survivor Emmie Arbel under the guidance of international artists.
They were supported by the educational teams of the Osthofen Concentration Camp Memorial and the Ravensbrück Memorial Museum, as well as by the artists Dan Wolf (artistic direction), Kat Rampackova, Sean Palmer, and Christian Find. The performance centres on the life story of Emmie Arbel, who was imprisoned as a child in the Ravensbrück concentration camp.
The project is a cooperation between the Landeszentrale für politische Bildung Rheinland-Pfalz (LpB RLP) and the Ravensbrück Memorial Museum. It is funded by the State Parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate, the Friends’ Association Projekt Osthofen e.V., the EVZ Foundation, and the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media as part of the program “JUGEND erinnert – vor Ort & engagiert.”
Admission is free. Registration is required via the website of the Parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate: Link to registration
