Performance “Sound in the Silence: Raise Your Voice” at the Osthofen Concentration Camp Memorial

30. August 2025 – 11:00 - 12:30 Uhr

The second public presentation of the project Sound in the Silence: Raise Your Voice will take place on 30 August 2025 at the Osthofen Concentration Camp Memorial. Students from the Rudi-Stephan-Gymnasium in Worms will present the results of their artistic engagement with the history of the Osthofen concentration camp, the Ravensbrück women’s concentration camp, and the life story of Emmie Arbel, who was imprisoned as a child in Ravensbrück and will be present at the performance.

They were accompanied and guided by the educational teams of the Osthofen Concentration Camp Memorial and the educational department of the Ravensbrück Memorial Museum, as well as by the artists Dan Wolf (artistic direction), Kat Rampackova, Sean Palmer, and Christian Find. Together, the participants developed their own approaches to the history and explored ways to express them in a performance. The life story of survivor Emmie Arbel, who was imprisoned as a child in Ravensbrück and will attend the performance, is at the centre of the presentation.

The project is a cooperation between the Agency for Civic Education Rhineland-Palatinate (LpB RLP) and the Ravensbrück Memorial Museum. It is funded by the Parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate, the Förderverein Projekt Osthofen e.V., the EVZ Foundation, and the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media within the framework of the programme JUGEND erinnert – vor Ort & engagiert.

Admission is free. Please register by email at info@ns-dokuzentrum-rlp.de.
